We are happy to announce an upcoming mission trip to Hogar Esperanza (“Hope House”) in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. As you may know, Hope House was founded in 2000 by Alabamian, Angie McInvale; and provides a home for orphaned, abandoned and abused Honduran children. The orphanage provides children with a Christian education, nutritional meals, medical attention, clothing, shelter, spiritual training and guidance, and love and affection they have never known. Abundant Life has long supported this wonderful ministry through financial seeds and prayer.
The trip is still very much in the planning stages; however, we expect activities which may include helping with repair/construction projects at the orphanage facilities, grounds keeping, ministering to the Hope House children (Vacation Bible School, games, etc.) and also at a nearby public orphanage, and prayer walks among the Honduran people.
The trip is tentatively scheduled for September. We estimate mission expenses to be approximately $1,500 per person (this includes airfare, food, transportation in Honduras and ministry expenses during the trip). We will make every effort to assist in fundraising and will ensure the trip is planned as economically as possible.
We hope to have between 8-10 total team members. We will provide periodic updates on deposit due dates to reserve your place on the trip. We pray this trip will not only be a blessing for those in Hope House and Honduras, but will also provide an opportunity for you to know an even deeper level of God’s love and commitment through service, to see first hand how Jesus transcends country and culture.
If you believe you may be interested, please begin praying and setting aside funding. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact Jereme Logan if you have any further questions. Thank you!!
